The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Co-chairman Jim Bechtel.
John Forbis made a motion, seconded by Joanne DiCamillo, to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2012 meeting. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.

1. Public Open Forum – no participation

2. Public Hearing - 22 Lyme Street:  Solar Panels on roof – Michele Mergy
A CofA application was submitted for the installation of 10 to 20 solar panels on the south side of the roof behind the cupola. The HDC requested an installation plan. There were no objections from neighbors.
Ken Levin made a motion, seconded by John Forbis, to approve the CofA application. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.

3. Public Hearing - 25 Lyme Street: Replacement of walkway next to driveway – Betsy Cooley
A CofA application was submitted to install pavers to replace the bluestone walkway. The walkway pavers will match the driveway. There were no objections from neighbors.
Nina Peck made a motion, seconded by John Forbis, to approve the CofA application. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.

4.  Plaque Program update – Martha Hansen
24 Lyme Street: The building was built circa 1930 as “The Economy Store.”
Action: Contact Jim Elliot - order plaque (Martha Hansen).
60 Lyme Street: the plaque: “James F Bugbee Store ca. 1897” has been ordered.
12 Ferry Road: David Kelsey has been contacted.
13 Academy Lane: Ned Perkins will do the research.  
20 Ferry Road: Pamela Hamilton is interested in a plaque.
Action: Contact Pamela Hamilton concerning necessary research (Martha Hansen).

5. Business News & Secretary’s Report – Martha Hansen
Marilyn Giuliano is looking into the Scenic Road application.  
Action: Inform Bonnie Reemsnyder of Scenic Road application status (Martha Hansen).
Janet Sturges made a motion, seconded by Ken Levin, to join the Old Lyme Historical Society at the $35 level. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.
CT Trust and National Preservation Trust dues are due.
Action: Pay dues for CT Trust, National Preservation Trust, and Old Lyme Historical Society (Martha Hansen).

6. Any other new or old business
a) 21 Lyme Street update:  the garage floor has been poured and the doors have been ordered. Paul Sagristano has offered to replace the large (filled) dumpster with a smaller one.
b) A list of CofAs and Historic Plaques will be posted on the HDC’s Web page.
Action: Prepare CofA and Historic Plaque lists and check into a grant to fund the creation of a report on the Historic Plaque Properties including their history (Martha Hansen).

7. Adjournment
John Forbis made a motion, seconded by Ken Levin, to adjourn the meeting at 10:02 a.m. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.
